The Helsinki GreenTech Hackathon is an intensive, 48-hour competitive sprint that brings together software developers, UI/UX designers, environmental scientists, and project managers. Hosted in a collaborative innovation hub in Helsinki, the event challenges teams to prototype functional software applications that target urgent environmental and sustainability issues. Problem statements will focus on areas such as urban carbon footprint tracking, supply chain transparency, food waste reduction, and local community renewable energy sharing. Teams will have round-the-clock access to high-speed internet, collaborative workspaces, hardware kits, and cloud computing credits. Experienced technical mentors from top Scandinavian tech firms will remain on-site to provide architectural guidance, code troubleshooting, and pitch preparation.
